WHERE WE ARE AT WITH SUSTAINABILTY

To be real with you, we acknowledge there is work to be done to reduce our environmental impact. The reality is, we deliver world-class innovations on a global scale, and we are very mindful of the impact this can have.

We accept this is an industry-wide problem and we are working on playing our part. One way we can invest in being more sustainable is by making smart choices about who we team up with.

We are proud members of the Better Cotton. And we are committed to sourcing at least 50% of our cotton as ‘more sustainable cotton’ by 2025.


More sustainable cotton includes cotton sourced as Better Cotton, recycled, Fairtrade and organic cotton.

Better Cotton is sourced via a system of mass balance and is not physically traceable to end products.

We sourced over 440 metric tons of Better Cotton from 01/01/2021 to 16/07/2021 through our partnership with BC. We appreciate there is more to do.

As part of a wider network called Luxottica, we are committed to monitoring our carbon footprint, to a responsible and efficient use of resources and further investing in the auto-production of renewable energy close to our manufacturing plants.

We will continue to challenge ourselves to do more to reduce our environmental impact. The journey will not be easy, but we are down for the ride.
