Janko Tipsarevic is a professional tennis player who hails from Serbia. He boasts two ATP Tour Championships, two Futures and nine tournaments in the ARP Challenger Series. Tipsarevic also won the 2001 Australian Open Junior title. Arguably his biggest accomplishment was breaking into the ATP Top 10 rankings in 2011.
Tipsarevic began playing the game at the age of six. Since then he has been competing in tennis events around the world, soaring to a career high of number eight in the ATP World Rankings.
Known for his eccentric nature on the court and in his personal life, Tipsarevic is a media favorite. His love for classic literature is highly noted and he even sports a tattoo on his left arm in Japanese, which reads: “Beauty will save the world.” Tipsarevic has played in the Davis Cup every year since 2000, a year in which he was the youngest player to ever compete in the tournament. In 2010 he became a national hero when he steered the Serbian team to their first historic Davis Cup title.
