Hailing from the Hawaiian Island of Kauai, Dustin Barca grew up amongst the seemingly endless flow of talent the islands have been producing. The rugged regular-footer emerged alongside the Irons brothers and Roy Powers, and then helped to nurture Sebastian "Seabass" Zietz, continuing the presence of Kauai natives on the ASP World Tour.
After hacking it out on the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) for several years and then spending a couple years on the Tour, Barca has settled into a role as more of an ambassador and full-time charger. The veteran is still known for massive airs and pulling into hefty barrels, but he's also running a tight ship at the Oakley House on the North Shore and even dabbling in politics (he's running for mayor of Kauai).
