Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen

Pro Since 2013

Growing up in a ski family, Tiril Sjåstad Christiasen knew she was going to be a skier. The choice was easy. By 11, she received her first pair of twin-tip skis. She followed the guys around the mountain, trying to mimic their style of riding and raise the level of her own. By 14 she was leaving Norway to compete and in 2013, she reached the pinnacle of competitive success in freeskiing, winning an X Games gold medal in Slopestyle in Aspen – which had been her goal from the day she first stepped into skis.

Now she’s traveling 200 days a year, mostly in the company of the Norwegian Team, training, competing and filming. She’s since added a second X Games gold – in front of her countrymen in Big Air in Oslo – to her collection and maintains a status as one of the most talented competitors in the sport today.

Back home in Norway, at the resort her grandfather built years ago, there’s a terrain park being constructed. In honor of Tiril's successes, it will be an ode to her: ‘Tiril Parken.’ Somewhere for the next generation to aspire to be the best.
