Oakley Women's Golf Makes History

When Nikki Garrett flew into LAX on April 27th for her Photo Shoot with Oakley, she told us that on her flight over here a numerologist had told her that she wasn’t going to have a very good year. Well, for all of you skeptics out there who don’t believe in stuff like that you have my permission to make fun of your friend who lives their life by her daily horoscope!

Australia’s Nikki Garrett proved that fortune-teller wrong. For the first time on the European tour Nikki triumphed and won a tournament. Nikki is the only woman on the tour who finished this tour stop under par! The conditions were very windy as the course sits atop a cliff, but Nikki said she’s used to playing in windy conditions, so it didn’t bother her.

Why is this History Making for Oakley? Because she is our 1st head-to-toe golfer to ever win a tour stop. She was wearing the Gold Dart this past week. She loves to play in the women’s lifestyle eyewear, and has recently taken a liking to the new Radar. Nikki has great style, talent, and looks, all while being a very young 23 years of age. Some of you may remember that last year, in her first year on the Ladies European Tour, Nikki won the title Rookie of the Year! We’re so proud of Nikki and can’t wait to see her win her next tournament this season.

This win puts Nikki at number one on the tour money list and has earned her a three-year exemption to stay on the tour.
