    After a grueling day out in the ocean, on the bike and your feet what better way to celebrate then a Rehab Party put on by Oakley. 1994 Ironman World Champion and Oakley’s Triathlete Sports Marketing Manager, Greg Welch had the brilliant idea of giving back to his athletes. The idea was turn the Oakley Safehouse on Alii Drive into an extravagant getaway of sorts for all the Oakley athletes that competed in the 2009 Ironman World Championships.

    The 2009 Roc d’Azur at the French Mediterranean coast took place from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th October at the “Francois Létard” nature base in Fréjus. This former military air test center proved once more to be a great location for this famous mountain bike festivity.

    This past week, Oakley made a special journey to Japan and debuted Eric Koston’s Signature backpacks and Limited Edition sunglass. A huge crowd consisting of some of the most prominent figures in street culture, photography and skateboarding made their way to the Harajuku O Store to celebrate the unveiling of his collection: a ballistic nylon backpack, a military inspired day pack and a pair of woodgrain Frogskins.

Pitbull has had a stellar year with his first 2 singles in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 and the #2 record in the world. Pitbull a longtime Oakley Artist comments, “For a company like Oakley to partner with me on this tour who also comes from an independent grind and mind state is an honor but also goes to show that hard work pays off.”

The Expo is second only to the major eyewear tradeshows found in New York City and Las Vegas where they invite brands to come debut their newest eyewear and allow us to showcase our High Definition Optics.
