It was a very active summer. Don’t believe us? Just ask any of the more than 50 participants who joined Oakley Canada and the O-Active Running Club on a weekly basis to keep fit during the summer months. Managed by our O-Active ambassadors; running clubs were set up in various cities across Canada to inspire women to perform beautifully and encourage an active lifestyle.

Once the warm summer nights yielded to the autumn chill, it was time to leave the sneakers by the door for a night and let our hair down for a well-deserved celebration. Oakley Canada invited its ambassadors, the o-active participants and some VIP guests to the Bota-Bota spa for an evening of fun and fashion among friends with a shared passion for living an active lifestyle.

All of the guests took part in yoga and fitness dance classes led by a few of our O-Active ambassadors to get the blood moving. They were also privy to a sneak peek of the Spring 2013 Oakley Active collection, which resulted in the creation of more than a few spring shopping lists.

The highlight of the evening however, came when two-time Olympic medalist Jennifer Heil, who was sporting a small baby bump, lovingly introduced Canada’s only summer and winter Olympic medalist, Clara Hughes. Clara not only left the women in awe with her Olympic stories; she had a few of the guests teary eyed as she opened up about her battle with depression and inspired everyone to continue to be active and live life to its fullest.

The night and 2012 O-Active running season came to a close with all of our guests leaving with a few new friends added to their contacts and inspired to continue to perform beautifully thought the fall and into the warm months of next spring.
