Oakley’s Sam Stosur Continues To Cruise at The 2010 US Open
Australian Sam Stosur played a little lose today, but the end result was as expected a cruiser into the 4th round with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Italy’s Sara Errani. This extends Stosur’s best-ever run at the US Open by pushing her into action this weekend.
Sam’s serve and forehand were on fire in the first set as she broke the number 37 player in the world three times to win the set handedly.
Stosur’s photochromatic lens helped with the ever-changing light conditions that were presented on Louis Armstrong Court today. The match started under grey skies, then gave way to sun, then a brief sprinkling of rain, then more sun, then grey. So what better technology to be wearing then Oakley’s photochromatic lenses, that change due to the varying light conditions you are in? Definitely a lens for the professional and hardcore hobbyist that wants to be presented the best sight possible.
The second set was a little bit more rough with Stosur conceding an early break, but fought back to win the last four games of the match and finish in just over an hour.
Next up for the world number five player is either the 12th seed Elena Dementieva of Russia or 24th seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia.
