Bio
Samantha McGlone, who climbs Pikes peaks at 14,110 ft. to train, is a professional Canadian triathlete. She started the sport when she begged to go running with her dad at 5 years old. She won the Canadian National Triathlon championship in both 2004 and 2005. She qualified for the full Ironman World Championship 2007 in Kona, Hawaii during the 70.3 event and then placed second in the final event with a total time of 9:14:04.
Her biggest moment, according to her, was to be an Olympian in the 2004 Athens Summer games. She came 27th with a total time of 2:10:14.
She enjoys “long trail runs in the mountains on a beautiful day with a cold beer waiting at the end.”
