Oakley athletes were on full display throughout the three days of Winter X Tignes 2012, collecting four coveted medals. Combine those with the 20 medals secured at the Winter X 16 in January; Oakley athletes were able to claim 24 total Winter X medals in 2012.

Three-Peat…Again! Kaya Turski Wins Her Third Consecutive Winter X Games Women’s Ski Slopestyle Gold
Twenty-three year old Canadian, Kaya Turski kick started the 2012 Winter X Games Tignes with a gold medal victory. The young Oakley rider was the first ever to three-peat in Winter X Slopestyle, which she accomplished in January in Aspen. Her win in France made her the first ever athlete to DOUBLE three-peat at two X events. Kaya had previously won the Slopestyle gold at the Winter X Aspen Games from 2010-2012 and now she has claimed the top spot for the past three years at Winter X Games Tignes as well.

Three-Peat! Ski Star Kaya Turski Claims Winter X Games Slopestyle Gold
It wasn’t a usual walk in the park for Kaya Turski. But the defending Women’s Slopestyle Champion charged back from behind in the final round of the contest on Thursday – racking in a 95.00 to claim her third-consecutive Winter X Games Gold Medal in the event. She’s the first woman ever to have accomplished the feat. “I’ve never seen the level so high as I’ve seen it today,” Kaya said, rocking her Oakley eyewear and gear. “Everyone is taking training seriously, eating well, and working hard, it’s going to be a crazy couple of years.” But it wasn’t anywhere as easy as it had been in the past.
