Oakley Riders Top Podiums at Canadian Open

Some of the most progressive women’s Slopestyle riding in years went down at the 2009 Canadian Open (the fourth of six stops on the TTR tour) and Oakley’s women were leading the charge. 24-year-old Oakley HTT rider Silvia Mittermueller of Munich, Germany threw a switch backside 540 to 720 to win the event. Oakley’s Megan Ginter placed second. “This is the biggest win I’ve ever had in my life,” said Mittermueller.

On the men’s Slopestyle side, Oakley’s 16-year-old Sebastien Toutant nailed hispatented tootsie roll (double cork 1080) for second place, while Oakley’s new athlete Charles Reid placed third wearing Splice with black iridium lenses.

In mens halfpipe, Oakley eyewear athlete Jeff Batchelor of Ontario Canada, placed second to match his latest placing of second at the FIS Korea World Cup last month.
