On June 13-14 in Elizabethtown KY, Oakley was in full effect at one of the best grass-roots wake event to date.

E Town Throwdown has been a fast growing grassroots campaign in Kentucky. In its 5th year running as an event, the spectator turnout has become so large that it is now one of the biggest grass-root wake competitions in the country.

Mike Brown and the crew at Nick’s Boat Dock put together a concert with 4 bands along with a Red Bull and Oakley Volleyball Tournament stacked with 32 teams. The competition was tough but the winning team walked away with a new pair of Gascan’s and their own weight in Redbull.

100 young amateur riders came to the event to compete in their division. The top three finishers were awarded with a custom wakeboard trophy and prizes. In the outlaw division, Jonny Tobaben came out on top and walked away with the grand prize of $1000.00 cash.

The Oakley Rolling O Lab was on hand throughout the event showcasing the 60-foot truck and trailer. People swarmed the O Lab throughout the weekend and were excited to get a full tour and learn more about Oakley HDPolarized technology.

Overall it was a great weekend with a huge turnout. Thanks to all the athletes, staff and fans who came and showed there support.
