Oakley World Pro Junior After Dark
As the sun set on the final day the 2010 Oakley World Pro Junior, competitors, contest staff and fans alike were all ready to let loose and celebrate!
Never in anyone’s wildest dreams was the contest expected to kick-off and run through the first week of the waiting period to end with a week to spare. Therefore, what started as a casual Friday night party at former O athlete and Balinese swell guru, Tippi Jabrik’s retail store RAW, quickly turned into the official-unofficial-Oakley World Pro Junior after party.
Walking into the dimly lit store with strobe lights illuminating original Oakley inspired artwork and elaborate product displays to find the music pumping and cold drinks flowing, the celebratory vibe was contagious.
Among those getting down on the dance floor (and up on the pool table) were Champions Jack Freestone and Tyler Wright with fellow competitors Granger Larsen, Mitch Crews, Miguel Pupo, Ciao Ibelli, Marc Lacramore, Charly Martin and Laura Enever among many others, as well as, Contest Director Beau Emerton, Oakley Surf Marketing Manager Ronny Nelson and local Balinese hero Petet.
The night was the perfect end to a killer event and left everyone already dreaming of what 2011 will have in store.
