Home Turf: Oakley’s Terenzo Bozzone Bests Fellow Kiwi to Take Taupo Half Ironman
Everyone knew Terenzo Bozzone was the favorite to run away with the Taupo Half Ironman Title this past week. But young gunner Matt Burgess, a fellow Kiwi (New Zealand native), had other plans. Despite a monster challenge from Burgess all throughout the race, Terenzo eventually came out on top, finishing the 2km swim, 90km ride and 21km run in 4:06:40 – a mere 16 seconds ahead for the victory.

Oakley's Terenzo Bozzone Dominates In Maryland
Oakley’s former Ironman 70.3 world champion Terenzo Bozzone of New Zealand dominated the Eagleman Half Ironman in Maryland last weekend. Bozzone posted the fastest run split of the day, finishing 1 minute and 34 seconds ahead of James Cotter, who placed second, to take the overall title.

Oakley’s Craig Alexander and Mirinda Carfrae made dramatic come-from-behind attacks on the run to win the Rev3 Tri Quassy men’s and women’s titles in Middlebury, Connecticut. Oakley’s Terenzo Bozzone finished second.
