Oakley's Cameron Brown Makes History With Ninth Victory, Oakley's Jo Lawn Wins With New Course Record
Oakley’s Cameron Brown claimed his ninth title, a world record, previously held by Paula Newby-Fraser in Kona (8 times), at the Bonita Ironman New Zealand. Oakley’s Terenzo Bozzone placed second. Oakley’s Jo Lawn gained the upper hand over rival Gina Crawford to reclaim the women’s title that she lost to the Christchurch triathlete last year in Taupo, setting a new course record in the process despite the windy conditions.
