Over the winter of 2008/09, snowboard superstar Eero Ettala – arguably one of the world’s top freestyle snowboarders – broke with tradition and canceled plans for his usual video part, and instead opted to film his very own TV series. Follow Eero as he travels the globe and meets up with Eiki Helgason, Kevin Pearce, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Kass, and others. “Tracking Eero” is the snowboarding documentary series that follows Eero’s season premiering on FUEL TV Sunday, 12/27/2009, at 8:30pm…

The Tracking Eero crew was cut down in size significantly when we rolled onto Saas Fee, Switzerland from Laax for our next stop on the European Tour. The drive took us six hours and was quite the excursion, we took two different trains that let us load our cars on them to get through the passes.

Our adventure continued from Solden, Austria to Laax, Switzerland, which all of us were excited to visit for many reasons, but namely the new Rocks Resort we would be staying in. The Rocks Resort is a brand new addition to Laax, the buildings are designed to be very modern day apartments varying in size from two to four bedrooms. The apartments have all the luxuries one could need from heated stone floors throughout to a rain shower to a full kitchen to beautiful views of the Alps.

As the season slows down for Eero and crew, it was time to hit up Europe for hopefully a few solid weeks of filming some sick jumps. The crew meet up in Munich and rolled to Solden, Austria in some badass Audi wagons. The drive was mellow, only taking two hours, including a McD’s stop for Eero.
