Bio

Japanese riders have long set themselves apart from the pack – and Kazuhiro Kokubo is no exception. An explosive freestyle and Halfpipe performer able to adapt to any type of terrain and pull just about any move, Kazu has the entire crowd floored every time he launches himself off the coping or lip, always executing highly technical tricks with style. Over the course of his career, Kazu has performed well in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle, but these days, his attention on the latter has waned. His proficiency in the backcountry has led to a role in Jake Blauvelt’s highly-anticipated new project, “Naturally,” which is due out in Fall 2013. Expect to see Kazu launching and pulling off some massive maneuvers in some of the best natural terrain imaginable.

For more about Kazu check out his feature article in Issue No. 3 of Oakley’s One Icon Magazine.
