U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials: Day 1 Recap
On a damp and mildly chilly day in Eugene, Oregon, the track and field world was buzzing. Tracktown USA: Hayward Field at the University of Oregon was set to showcase to the country’s best track and field athletes, all competing for their spot on the United States Olympic Team and their chance to represent their country in London this summer at the Olympic Games. Day one was full of drama and suspense as Oakley’s Bryan Clay and Lolo Jones took to the track for their first attempts at returning to the Olympics.

U.S. Olympians Meb Keflezighi And Ryan Hall Top Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Diego
In a tune-up for their Olympic marathon in August, Oakley’s Meb Keflezighi and Ryan Hall showcased their dominance of the US distance running field at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in San Diego. Keflezighi and Hall are two of the three members of the US Marathon team, already qualified for the 26.2-mile event in London this summer. Fans are getting used to the sight of Keflezighi and Hall finishing 1-2 in events in which they both compete. Keflezighi topped Hall at the US Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston, TX in January, both earning a spot in London.

Wallace Spearmon Charging Into US Track and Field Olympic Trials
Twenty-seven year old Wallace Spearmon is the first to admit he had his hopes and dreams taken away from him in a matter of seconds at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Spearmon crossed the finish line of the 200-meter finals in China in third place. Ecstatic about an Olympic bronze medal, Spearmon was quickly stripped of his prize on a technicality. He had stepped out of his lane, disqualifying him from medal contention. Four years later, Spearmon is back on top of his game, armed and ready to redeem himself this summer in London. He is on a hot streak as of late, posting victories in four of his most recent races.
