Oakley’s Mike and Bob Bryan won their 61st career doubles title Sunday at the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open in Spain after defeating Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, 6-3, 6-4. They now tie Australians Paul Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde, known as the “Woodies,” for the most-ever doubles titles.
Oakley’s reigning ATP World Tour Champions, the Bryan brothers, moved within one victory of matching the Woodies for the most double titles in the Open Era after winning the Rome Masters on Sunday.
Oakley’s Samantha Stosur earned her first title on clay and her second and biggest Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title Sunday, overwhelming Vera Zvonareva 6-0, 6-3 to win the Family Circle Cup. The 26-year-old Australian won her first title last year on hard courts at Osaka.
