But after grabbing their first Summer Games Title Saturday in Doubles Tennis over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Micheal Llodra of France, the heavily decorated American twins embraced each other – intensely – as if they’d never nabbed a victory ever before.

“That’s the longest we’ve hugged,” Bob said. “We’ve spent 50,000 hours together, and probably 30,000 on the court, working our butts off to get here. That hug right there was a culmination of it all.”

The dynamic duo, who claimed a third place finish in Beijing four years prior, finally achieved their career Golden Slam: racking up all four majors and the Summer Games…in addition to their already tantalizing 11 major titles and their seventh World No. 1 ranking in nine years.

Oakley’s International Tennis Star – complete with his signature tattoos, exuberant personality, off-the-court activities (Electronic Dance Music DJ by night) and trademark style (read: killer performance eyewear) – made major waves in the 2011 season, skyrocketing to a World No. 9 ranking. Oakley’s ATP Star Tennis Duo – Mike and Bob Bryan – sealed their seventh No. 1 Year-End Doubles Ranking for the seventh time in nine years after a first-round victory at the Valencia Open. The match result guaranteed that the vibrant pair could not be overtaken by World No. 2 team Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic.

The amazing development comes on the heels of a resounding victory in Vienna last weekend, where the two smashed Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Daniel Nestor 7-6, 6-3 – racking up an 81 percent success rate on first deliveries – with three aces to top it all off.

Oakley’s blooming Tennis Star claimed his second ATP World Tour victory this past weekend, topping his good friend and Serbian Countryman Viktor Troicki at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, Russia – 6-4, 6-2.

After the tour’s first-ever all-Serbian final, Janko, who shot up to an ATP year-to-date No. 10 ranking following the victory, displayed understandably mixed emotions.

“It was really tough,” Janko said, sporting his Oakley Prescription/Transition Fast Jacket performance eyewear. “We were both tight. You could cut the tension with a knife. It was like a nightmare to play against your friend.”

Oakley’s Aussie Tennis Star dominated the former champ – 6-2, 6-3 – in the US Open Final on Sunday, claiming her first-ever Grand Slam triumph after one of the cleanest, most aggressive matches in the sport’s recent history. The victory also handed Australia its first Women’s Grand Slam Singles champ in more than 31 years.

But of course, the path to glory was no easy feat.

In the midst of sprawling metropolis’ first major shutdown of the entire public transit system (MTA) – in anticipation of Hurricane Irene – the city was in an eerie state of calm. But peering into Times Square, the cameras of the nationally prominent Dateline NBC program were curiously zoomed in at one location. One slammed location – filled with people.

Tennis fans from across the globe, in town for the start of the US Open scheduled to start just a couple days later, packed the impressively placed Oakley Store for the scheduled “Hang with the Pros” event – set to feature ATP (Men’s) World Top 20 Ranked Janko Tipsarevic, WTA (Women’s) World No. 9 Sam Stosur and ATP World Doubles No. 1 Duo, the Bryan Brothers. And the media took notice.

The fan-centered gathering, originally designed as a full presentation – complete with an MC from the Tennis Media, a DJ and a full run-of-show – was nearly cancelled, as NYC was supposed to be a ghost town with the evacuations, lack of transportation and the coming storm.

But the global prominence of the sport was displayed all throughout the day, as fans consistently inquired about the athlete appearance and the likelihood that it would go on. And although it was downgraded to an athlete signing and media interview gathering, it went on…big time.

No one knows this better than Oakley International Tennis Star Janko Tipsarevic.

He recently revealed his three toughest opponents. And not surprisingly, he’s really, really close to one of them.

Janko is currently raging into the semifinals at the AEGON International 2011 in Eastbourne after topping Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(2). He’ll take on World No. 59 Kei Nishikori of Japan next.

Make it Four Royal Flushes for every one of the Bryan Brothers’ victories at the Queen’s Final as part of the Aegon Championships in London. The dominating Tennis Duo – Bob and Mike – took their fourth triumph on June 13, topping Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes 6-7, 7-6, 10-6.

Their success in England was topped off with a killer career stat: 72 career doubles finals wins.
