Tejay Van Garderen is an American born road cyclist who is highly regarded as the United States’ next big thing in cycling. The youngster made a major name for himself as a main domestique for defending Tour de France champion Cadel Evens in the 2012 race. While he was leading Evans through the Tour, he earned the white jersey for himself as the best young rider in the Tour.

Arguably his most notable accomplishment came at the 2013 Amgen Tour of California where he secured his first major stage race during the 8-day tour through The Golden State.

Van Garderen spends his time as a main focus for his team, BMC Racing. 2013 also brought another major accomplishment for Van Garderen, in the form of the birth of his first daughter in April.
