Oakley athletes dominate, including taking first and second in both freeski and snowboard, at Freestyle.ch Berlin held at Tempelhof Airport. At Freestyle.ch Berlin some of the world’s best Freestyle skiers, snowboarders, skateboarders and Motocross riders were able to show off their skills. Oakley’s Simon Dumont, Eero Ettala, Sandro Dias, Sammy Carlson, Jacob Wester, Seb Toutant and many more were among the athletes battling for individual and crossover champion titles. A 32-metre high ramp made out of steel and 200 tons of artificial snow was set up on the apron of the former runway.
In the Crossover division, Oakley’s skateboarder Sandro Diaz and Oakley’s snowboarder Sebastian Toutant earned a spot in the finals. The young German snowboarder, Elias Elhardt took home the title with a BS 1080 double cork.
In the individual competition on Sunday, Oakley’s Henrik Harlaut picked up the victory in the Freeskiing category while Oakley’s Sammy Carlson, who won in Zurich, took second. Oakley’s Jacob Wester, who was attempting some of the first ever double cork 1440s, took fourth Henrik topped the field with a stylish double cork 1260. Oakley’s Canadian Sebastian Toutant was the winner among the Snowboarders with Eero Ettala, who won the snowboard division in Zurich, placing second. In the skateboard division, Oakley’s Sandro Dias placed third and Oakley’s Renton Millar came in fourth.
