Oakley’s Rosy Hodge Advances To Round 3 At The Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic
The richest ASP Women’s World Tour event, the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic in Sydney, Australia started yesterday. The contest got off to a great start with beautiful weather, offshore winds and clean 3 ft. (1 meter) beach break waves at the backup venue of Curl Curl.
In the Oakley Trials, Oakley’s Sage Erickson killed it in her first heat and made the finals against Oakley’s Tyler Wright, Ellie-Jean Coffey and Laura Enever. It was a close heat, but Enever took the win and moved onto the main event.
Oakley’s Rosy Hodge surfed brilliantly and won her round 1 heat against Sofia Mulanovich and Nikita Robb. She will now face Hawaiian Melanie Bartels in round 3.
The Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic will run from April 21 through 26, 2010 and will be web LIVE via www.beachleyclassic.com
