Vive Oakley! French Surf Team Ripper Romain Cloitre Seals 2011 ASP European Championship
It all started with Oakley’s epic boat trip. French Surf Team Ripper Romain Cloitre had the “trip of his life” with O’s stacked team of elite riders – surfing unbelievable waves in the crystal clear waters of Indo. Just a few weeks later, he was crowned the victor of the 6-star Relentless Boardmasters in England. Fast forward to the present, and the 23-year-old Frenchman is now the 2011 ASP Europe Champion – a perfect topping to what’s been an all-time season for Romain. The 2008 European Junior Champion, he’s displayed this year just why he’s a true force to be reckoned with on the Tour.

2011 Oakley World Pro Junior at a Glance
After nine days of off the hook pro junior surfing a men’s and women’s Oakley World Pro Junior Champion has been crowned. The event took place on the pristine beaches of Keramas and Canggu in Bali, Indonesia and was action packed with some great moments in and out of the water. Davey Cathels (AUS) has won the Oakley World Pro Junior Bali after an epic Final battle with Andrew Doheny (USA). As the day dawned competitors and surf fans were greeted by a slight increase in swell size, as predicted by official event forecaster Surfline, with clean 3 – 5 foot surf consistently rolling into Canggu.
