Young San Clemente born ripper Kolohe “Brother” Andino is already influencing the surfing world. With his smooth and new-school progressive style, Kolohe has kept blindingly in the spotlight for the last five years. Everyone is watching— from groms to the media to the seasoned A-list pro. His mind-blowing natural talent mixed with his passion and determination have resulted in major results. Since he entered his first contest at age 10, Kolohe has won nine NSSA titles, is a four-time Surfing America Champion and has won every single age category event in American Amateur surfing to date.
This year Kolohe, the son of former professional surfer Dino Andino, will film video parts and compete in the Pro Junior events. In the rare moments he is not surfing, Kolohe enjoys old punk and classic rock, ping-pong and taking photos.

What drives you to keep on surfing the way you do?

If you weren’t surfing as a profession what do you think you would be doing?
Playing professional back gammon, I think I would be world champion.

What scares you the most?
Rick Rifficci (popular surf videographer) with his incredibly shiny white teeth

Most memorable session?
The one with Conner this morning, it was really fun at Cold Springs (Indo). We were just trading waves and trying to out do each other on every wave. Every new session I have is the most memorable one.

Worst wipeout?
Walking down the street. I stubbed my toe...and I fell really bad

I'm really good at back gammon, I just waxed Conner, I think he is really bummed about it. Haha.

This Red Bull boat trip 2011, fun waves, great crew, classic moments, serious back gammon games.
