    Redemption. Julian Wilson wanted it and he got it at Peniche, Portugal at the Rip Curl Pro, claiming his maiden ASP World Tour victory. A year prior, Wilson and Gabriel Medina found themselves in the Final of the Quiksilver Pro in France. Wilson was sitting on a lead with minutes to go, only to have Medina pull out a late big score to steal away Wilson’s first ASP World Tour victory.

    Surf City rocked and rolled this past weekend…Aussie style. With its typically massive crowd of fans lining the shoreline in sunny Southern California, the US Open of Surfing saw Oakley’s Julian Wilson claim an emphatic victory to close out a week-long war in the water at Huntington Beach Pier. Dispatching rival after rival with some of the highest scores throughout, the Australian ripper dazzled tens of thousands of spectators – eventually taking out Brazilian Miguel Pupo to claim his title in grand fashion.
