The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior saw current North America regional ratings leader Evan Geiselman (New Smyrna Beach, FL), 16, lead an elite field of international ASP Pro Junior surfers through to the Semifinals by punting massive aerials in clean two-to-three foot surf at the famous break of Lower Trestles in San Clemente, California to post some of the day’s highest scores.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) North America Pro Junior Series season opener saw Oakley’s Evan Geiselman from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, 16, clinch the ASP Grade-3 Ron Jon SI Pro in one-to-three foot (1 meter) surf at Florida’s iconic break of Sebastian Inlet. With qualification for the inaugural ASP World Junior Tour (WJT) on the line via this year’s regional series, the early season ratings’ lead picked up by Geiselman could prove vital in his chance to battle the globe’s best for the title of ASP World Junior Champion.
