    Oakley’s Kolohe Andino won his maiden ASP Pro Junior victory against close friend Luke Davis, in blow-for-blow exchanges for this year’s Ezekiel Pro Junior title. In his three heats on Sunday Kolohe didn’t have a total heat score under 16.40. He continually posted 8’s and above with his knifey carves, clean air reverses, and speedy snaps.

    The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) North America Pro Junior Series season opener saw Oakley’s Evan Geiselman from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, 16, clinch the ASP Grade-3 Ron Jon SI Pro in one-to-three foot (1 meter) surf at Florida’s iconic break of Sebastian Inlet. With qualification for the inaugural ASP World Junior Tour (WJT) on the line via this year’s regional series, the early season ratings’ lead picked up by Geiselman could prove vital in his chance to battle the globe’s best for the title of ASP World Junior Champion.

    SURFER Magazine’s Oakley Surf Shop Challenge is back and bigger than ever having grown from five to seven regional events. The 2010 series now includes regional stops at Cardiff, Newport Beach, and Santa Cruz, in California as well as Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Kewalo Basin on Oahu’s South Shore.
