Enter Rebel Rock Racing. The funky concept was the brainchild of superstar music producer and a good friend of Oakley, Jim Jonsin. The man behind such insanely huge current artists like Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga, BOB, Usher and T.I., he took his immense enthusiasm for sports car racing/the motorsports lifestyle and turned his business model on its head.

Partnering with Champion Porsche Motorsport and Oakley – a leader in the motorsports world – Jim assembled a Cup team with Action Sports Superstar Bucky Lasek and other pro drivers. Jim’s vision consisted of track spectacles – complete with fast cars (exhibitions of speed), great people and his huge music influence to lead up to sports car races. Lo and behold, it became a reality.
