“I was in Jackson Hole backcountry filming for Travis Rice’s video. We were sledding around on the way to the Terje Double line, when we came accross this boulder in the middle of a field. It was caked with snow and super steep on one side. It looked like the perfect set up for a big surf style backside slash, but after I tried it for the first time, the base of the tranny gave out and I ran straight into rock.

I thought for sure it wasn’t doable, but luckily Rice being the shredding genius he is put his board upside down at the base of the tranny, so I could ride it over the hole at the base of the tranny and up the wall. It was later in the day, and the light was sick for Zimmerman to capture the shot. This is one of my favorite shot’s I’ve had for sure because it just goes to show you don’t need to leave the ground to have a blast. Learn to turn your damn board and you’ll have more fun than you know what to do with. Shred on!”
