Road to Recovery: Oakley Snowboard Star Kevin Pearce Chats About Miraculous Healing Process on NBC’s Today Show
Kevin Pearce is a lucky guy.
Following a horrific accident during an Olympic training run in Utah last December that threw him into a medically induced coma, there were doubts about whether he’d ever be able to walk again.
But in a courageous display of resilience and hope – touched with a bit of a miracle – Kevin is talking about the possibility of not just walking normally…but of hopping on a snowboard again.
He’s currently rehabilitating to get back to normal with immense support from his family. Through their support, he’s now in decent shape. So much so that he paid a visit to NBC’s popular Today Show to chat with the national audience about the ordeal, the difficult months leading up to today, watching the Olympics (for which he worked so hard to reach) while in rehab and the lessons young snowboarders can learn from the terrible incident.
