Oakley's Jenny Jones Qualifies First In Slopestyle

Straight off the heels of back-to-back Winter X Slopestyle Gold medals, Great Britain’s great hope, Jenny Jones, set off on the right track with a qualification run that bested the rest of the field.

In a challenging eight hit slopestyle course, Jones was able to dial in the necessary elements to combo together a run that was both stylish and smooth. Jones and the rest of the field will battle it out in the finals in the upcoming day.

In the men’s competition, with a stacked field of riders, Oakley’s Stephan Maurer slid through just on the bubble. The 20-rider field was cut down to eight riders for the finals, with less than one point separating multiple riders from making the cut.

The high alpine conditions make this Slopestyle course a challenge as the riders are battling the wind, weather and speed issues to put their runs together. But if you could match all the elements up, then the backdrop for this session could not be any better.
