The Meeting In Aspen 2009
Oakley once again was well represented at The Meeting in Aspen, Colorado, from the movies to the athletes to the Sports Marketing members in attendance.
This year Oakley sponsored four of the ski films that were shown, “Transitions” by Riley Poor, “Re:Session” by TGR, “Everyday is a Saturday” by Poor Boyz and “Contrast” by Nimbus. Additionally, Oakley sponsored the snowboard films, “Stance” by JMills Ent., “Nice Try” by People and “Get Real” by Transworld Snowboarding.
Some of the top Oakley skiers and snowboarders that were in attendance over the weekend were Gretchen Bleiler, Pep Fujas, Simon Dumont and Seth Morrison.
The weekend provided many fun moments from the fashion show to the parties to the premiers themselves. Highlight moments included Sammy Carlson’s part in TGR, Eiki’s part in People, Riley Poor proposing to his girlfriend in front of 500 plus people at his premiere of Simon’s new flick “Transitions” and of course Shane McConkey’s part in MSP’s movie “In Deep”.
Big thanks go out to the Aspen Ski Co. crew, Deric, Melissa, Meredith and the Hotel Lenado, which hooked up last minute accommodations.
