Uniquely Wins 'Best Action Sports Film' at Vail Film Fest

“Uniquely”, Oakley and 1242 Productions’ latest release, won “Best Action Sports Film” at the Vail Film Festival on Saturday, April 4th. This is the film’s second award after winning “”http://oakley.com/community/posts/1082">BEST EDITING" at X Dance earlier this year.

“Uniquely” is a 6-section travel inspired women’s multi-sport (snowboard, ski, surf, skate, wake) film that exposes the “unique” personalities and lifestyles of Oakley’s women’s team as they take viewers on a cultural journey through Japan, Russia, Colorado, California, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia and beyond.

The Vail Film Festival promotes independent filmmaking, with a special focus on new and innovative filmmakers. Besides screening some of the year’s top films from around the globe, the festival also features workshops, seminars, industry panel discussions and special events with award-winning actors, writers and directors. The Vail Film Festival is produced by the Vail Film Institute, a non-profit arts organization that is dedicated to fostering independent cinema and creative filmmaking.

“We’re very proud that the Vail Film Festival has become a sought-after event for filmmakers from around the world to screen and premiere their work,” said Scott Cross, co-founder and co-director of the Vail Film Festival. “Our submissions are some of the best in independent film, and we are excited once again to have an exceptionally strong program.”
