Winter X Games 13 Kicks Off

The premiere winter action sports event in the world and one of Oakley’s biggest Sports Marketing initiatives kicks off tomorrow, as Winter X Games 13 gets underway in Aspen, CO. Last year, Oakley raked in 7 golds and 13 overall medals. With Gretchen Bleiler taking gold in Snowboarding Super- Pipe, Tanner Hall winning Skiing Superpipe, Torstein Horgmo scoring gold in Snowboarding Big Air and Jon Olsson winning Skiing Big Air, Oakley swept the most popular and competitive events of the Games.

Oakley has actively supported the X Games and its team with safe houses and on-hill support since the Games inception more than a decade ago. Three years ago, in an effort to participate on a deeper level, Oakley stepped in as an associate sponsor of X Games, which reinforces Oakley’s athlete presence in Ski and Snowboarding and its commitment to action sports. With an all-star athlete roster and a highly choreographed strategy, this year’s Games look to be the most effective yet.
Here is a sampling of Oakley’s on-site activation:
