Bio

Queralt Castellet made her international debut after making her first Olympic appearance in 2006. She finished 26th overall at the Torino Games and despite not making the finals, the 17-year-old Spaniard added a combination of 900s, 720s and 540s to her arsenal of tricks. Needless to say Queralt quickly became a rider all the girls were keeping their eye on.

The following year Queralt took 10th place in her first World Snowboarding Championships and went on to claim a handful of podium finishes on the FIS World Cup circuit. She closed out the 2008 season in ranked third in the overall halfpipe rankings.

The 2009-10 season offered the Queralt a chance to make her mark on U.S. soil and you know she took it. She claimed fourth place at the Copper Mountain stop of the Grand Prix series and to claimed top podium spots along multiple stops of the Winter Dew Tour before finishing seventh in her first Winter X Games appearance.

Gaining momentum in high-profile competitions, Queralt made the finals at the Vancouver Olympics, trailing behind heavyweights Torah Bright and Kelly Clark in qualifying only to be derailed by an unfortunate fall during a practice.

With two podium finished already logged for 2011, it’s clear Queralt has big plans for the 2011-12 season and with a new focus on adding more amplitude to her lines, you can expect to see her soaring above the field to claim more victories as the season progresses.
