Oakley Snow Rippers Shine at the 6th Annual “The Meeting” in Aspen
It’s that time of year again, when the ski and snowboard industries gets together to showcase the past season’s top highlights in the form of numerous mind-blowing films and workshop seminars. This year Aspen Ski Co held “The Meeting” at the Limelight Lodge in downtown Aspen. Oakley was well represented with both Pep Fujas and Seth Morrison paying a visit, signing Oakley branded posters and representing both the films they were in “Light The Wick” and “Revolver”. In addition both Pep and Seth were in town filming some segments for Seth’s upcoming documentary film releasing this time next year. In total Oakley had riders in nine of the films, here is a quick breakdown on each.

Mikkel Bang Wins US Open Slopestyle
Oakley’s Mikkel Bang rolled into VT off his 3rd place podium at The Oakley Arctic Challenge Slopestyle and owned the course. He won his first US Open slopestyle with style and precision after taking the lead in his first of three runs. And then followed up that first place score with an even better run that scored a US Open Slopestyle record 98.00. His run included a Cab 1080, into a switch backside 1260 Indy and finished with a frontside 1080 on the jumps. With an additional 3 rail features in his run Mikkel flowed with style and progressive riding, it was a race for 2nd and 3rd all day for the rest of the riders.

TAC 2010 Qualifiers In The Bag
Well the first days of TAC are as they say, “in the bag.” The field has been widdled down to just 20 riders for today’s semifinal action. Some top heavy hitters did not make the cut due to injuries, but for the most part the top slopestyle riders in the world moved on.
