Oakley X Wrap-Up

Oakley raked in 7 gold medals and 13 medals overall at the premiere winter action sports event in the world. With Gretchen Bleiler taking gold in Snowboarding SuperPipe, Tanner Hall winning Skiing Superpipe, Torstein Horgmo scoring gold in Snowboarding Big Air and Jon Olsson winning Skiing Big Air, Oakley swept the most popular and competitive events of the Games.

The 12th annual Winter X Games in Aspen, CO were televised live and covered by ESPN’s flagship news program, Sports Center. Viewership across the three networks that carried coverage of the event – ABC Sports, ESPN and ESPN2 – exceeded last year’s household average by 30% according to Nielsen Media Research. Fifteen hours of live high-definition programming and 19 hours of original HD programming was televised on international networks to 122 counties. Oakley commercials had 32 spots with re-airs.
