US Snowboarding Grand Prix #1 Mammoth Update
The second US Snowboarding Grand Pix has come to Mammoth Mountain in sunny California. And the conditions today were picture perfect for riding, viewing, and figuring out who is going to make the US Olympic Snowboard team. This weekend another pipe event will take us one step closer to the team announcement at the end of January in Park City.

Shaun Takes 1st & GB Scores 2nd at US Grand Prix
The best superpipe snowboarders in the worlds were all at Copper Mountain, Colorado this week, for the first of five US Grand Prix events. With several national snowboard teams using this series as their Olympic team qualifiers, the pressure was on everyone in the superpipe today. With several new tricks being unveiled this summer in New Zealand including double cork 1080’s and 1260’s. The bar has been raised so high, that to win an event this season you need to land every trick perfect. And include at least one of the new double cork tricks. Not an easy task by any means.

Gretchen Bleiler Qualifies 1st at Copper
The snowboarding industry has all come to Copper Mountain, Colorado for the first US Grand Prix snowboarding event. The temperatures were well below freezing and clear skies, women’s snowboarding stepped it up again. With a field of 50 competitors riding in two heats, the pressure was on everyone as the first contest of the season was underway. The US Grand Prix events are the qualifying series for the US Team selections. And the US women’s team dominated the day.
