Oakley Hosts the World Premiere of Misschief Film's "Roshambo"
The ladies were in the house Wednesday night as Oakley hosted the world premier of Misschief Film’s all women’s snowboard film, "Roshambo". This came at the perfect time to open up the ASR trade show with a bang, and premier a one of a kind film along with Oakley’s new women’s specific goggle, STOCKHOLM™. A total of about 1300 viewers including Oakley retailers, industry moguls, media and athletes from all over the world made their way to the Oakley headquarters for an epic evening to support the ladies and benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer. Those who couldn’t squeeze into the indoor amphitheater poured out to the lawn for a peek on the big screen. The video was well received by all, with ooohs and ahhhhhs as riders like Anne Flore Marxer, Laura Hadar, Marie-France Roy and Silvia Mittermuller showed that women’s snowboarding is no joke. These girls are stepping it up by, launching, sliding, and landing tricks that grab attention and demand respect.
To celebrate the success of the film and the blood, sweat and tears that went into it, the star studded crowd spilled into the Oakley lobby which transformed into a bumping nightclub. Equipped with go-go dancers, ice sculptures and enough Budweiser and Red Bull to go all night, it was time to party. Gretchen Bleiler shook it all night along with Elena Hight and Hana Beaman. Anne Flore Marxer put on her super duper dancing shoes and mastered a back flip off the wall and eventually took over on the dancer’s stage. The men were in attendance as well to enjoy the pure bliss of having women in their world of sport. Top dogs like JP Walker, Heikki Sorsa, Eero Ettala, Zach Leach, JJ Thomas, Eddie Wall, Lauri Heskari and David Aubry were in attendance for the dance party of the year. We ate, drank, and shook it all night long!
