Travis Rice Pulls Out As More Legends Arrive To TAC 2009

As many now know Travis Rice has been on a whirlwind of travel and shredding that has left his body pretty beaten. And after a severe crash at Winter X Games that would have left most riders out for the season, Travis is going on vacation.

But TRice wanted to say a few words about TAC since he would not be making the voyage to Norway.

“By far one of the best contest’s out there will evade me this year,” said Travis Rice. “I just canceled my plane ticket due to the fact that I need to take two weeks off to heal from the last few weeks of contests stemming from a slam I took at the Winter X Games this year. I look forward to keeping track of the weeks events via (is there a better site for coverage) from somewhere in the south pacific. Best wishes to all of this years gladiators. TRice out.”

Although Travis will be missed, TAC 2009 marches on with many legends joining today’s top snowboarders to shred the perfectly shaped Quarterpipe in Linderudkollen. Ingmar Backman, Jamie Lynn, Heikki Sorsa and Mads Johnsson have all made the voyage to Oslo for the 10th anniversary of The Oakley Arctic Challenge. Look for things to really start heating up today, as it is the last day of practice before the “Classic Air” contest that takes place on Thursday afternoon.
