Oakley Snow Rippers Shine at the 6th Annual “The Meeting” in Aspen
It’s that time of year again, when the ski and snowboard industries gets together to showcase the past season’s top highlights in the form of numerous mind-blowing films and workshop seminars. This year Aspen Ski Co held “The Meeting” at the Limelight Lodge in downtown Aspen. Oakley was well represented with both Pep Fujas and Seth Morrison paying a visit, signing Oakley branded posters and representing both the films they were in “Light The Wick” and “Revolver”. In addition both Pep and Seth were in town filming some segments for Seth’s upcoming documentary film releasing this time next year. In total Oakley had riders in nine of the films, here is a quick breakdown on each.

Kazu Visits Oakley Headquarters
There are few people that have defined themselves through style. Jamie, Terje, and one of the newest addition to the list of one name style masters is Kazu. Known to the known world as the leader of the Samurai 7, Kazuhiro Kokubo has been leading a new charge in Japanese riding that has been more focused on going back to style and tricks not just one or the other.

Kazu Kokubo Wins US Open Halfpipe With Style
In a season of Olympic qualifications the level of pipe riding has grown very quickly compared to the past 4 years. 2010 will go down as the year of the double cork 10’s and 12’s. And a podium didn’t go by without all three riders at least having a double in their run. This year’s US Open was the final major halfpipe event of the year, and minus a few super stars with Olympic burnout the rider’s field was one of the most talented all year.
