Bio
The Hawaiian born Hight grew up far away from any semblance of snow, much less a snowboard. When her family moved to Idaho, her Dad got her one of the first snowboards for kids when she was 6 years old. She was one of the only girls doing it, but she was hooked.
Since then she got a well-deserved SuperPipe
bronze in 2007, her first WX medal, after landing the
first-ever backside 900 in female snowboarding halfpipe
contest history. She was also 3rd at the 2008 US Quarterpipe, 2nd overall in the 2007 Grand Prix halfpipe ranking, 1st overall at the 2007 Abominable Snow Jam, 6th in halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympics at the age of 16, the first female to land a frontside 900 in a contest at age 13.
Elena has been named Transworld Snowboarding Rookie of the Year, Snowboarder Magazine Minor Threat, ASA New Pollution and
