    A couple weeks back I saw Travis Rice at European Xgames who told me all about Nick Perata and Mark Sullivan organizing the King of the Hill again after ten years off. He told me I should show up. A couple days later I contacted Perata and a week later, I was arriving in Valdez in an RV to shred those amazing mountains!

    Lodge Life at Chatter Creek was really settling into a groove as the last guests of the season were sent off in a helicopter. And shortly after that the final media crew of the season cancelled, which meant Oakley Snowboarding had three completely private days riding in a zone with over 58,000 acres of terrain ahead of them. And Jake and Nico took full advantage of that opportunity, plus the camera crews had smiles from ear to ear following them on the hill.

  • Oakley Athletes Take Top Honors At 2010 RIDE Shakedown

    Oakley’s Marc McMorris and Megan Ginter took top honors at the 2010 RIDE Shakedown on Saturday at Mont Saint-Sauveur. McMorris, a native of Regina, Saskatchewan and only 16 years-old, will go home with the $12,000 purse. Oakley’s Sébastien Toutant (L’Assomption, Quebec), champion of the 2009 RIDE Shakedown, secured second place and $3,000 in prize money.

    On an overcast day at Aspen Snowmass with fresh snow on the slopes, Kelly Clark took home a prize of $10,000 for winning the third annual COVERGIRL Snow Angels Invitational superpipe competition. This was the second year in a row that Clark has taken first place in the event.

    Within our Oakley group of 10 only 1 had been to Chatter Creek before and the perception of what lodge life could be was unanswered. Until we stepped out of a helicopter to arrive at a lodge so big you can’t fit it all into the frame of a single photo.
