February Fun: Jacob Wester's Mid-Season Edit

Fortunately, this winter has been better than last – that’s a sentiment held worldwide. More snow, more frequently. Thank goodness. While he could have his pick of any destination worldwide, Sweden’s Jacob Wester has mostly stayed local this winter. The winter’s been so good to Europe, why not?

And despite all these years on skis, the 25-year-old is still finding ways to keep the sport and his time on the mountain fresh, exciting and challenging.

“Well, winter is going great so far. I have been getting into ski touring lately, and with my skins I can access a lot of fun terrain that would be impossible to hike, which has proved useful here in Europe since there is so many jump and cliff spots along the roads. We haven’t even bought lift tickets most days,” Wester said. “Right now I have my mind set on filming and shooting photos as much as possible, hopefully making it into more than one movie next fall. Keep your eyes peeled!”

Enjoy some early highlights from Wester’s 2012/2013 season.
