Growing up in Park City, Utah, Jossi was introduced to skiing at age 4 by his “ski bum” parents and has made the sport his priority ever since.

“At first I just really enjoyed skiing,” says Joss. “When I realized it was a possibility to make it a career out of it, it instantly became my goal.”

Park City didn’t lack in inspiration, as Joss was influenced by Oakley teammates Tanner Hall and Pep Fujas. He was constantly pushed by good friend and Oakley teammate Alex Schlopy.

Christensen took second in halfpipe at the 2010 World Skiing Invitational, then matched that result with a runner-up finish in slopestyle at the Winter Dew Tour finale in March. In its February 2010 issue, Powder Magazine listed Joss as one of the top 20 most talented skiers in the world under the age of 18.

This season, Joss is aiming to make it into as many finals as he can in Slopestyle, halfpipe and Big Air and land some big podiums.

“Making it to the olympics is definitely my top goal right now, so I’m trying as hard as possible to accomplish it,” he says.

Joss says his favorite part of skiing is the feeling of landing a new trick and sending a powder line. Least favorite? Taking a digger.
