Mikaela Shiffrin is having her coming out season, with multiple Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup victories under her belt at the ripe age of 17. The legend of Lindsey Vonn continues during the 2013 season and the youngster who has been dubbed possibly “the next Lindsey Vonn” is making a name for herself in the sport at the same time.

    It’s been much anticipated and young Mikaela Shiffrin delivered, just in time for the holidays. The budding Oakley alpine ski racing star secured her first ever Audi FIS Alpine World Cup victory this Thursday in Are, Sweden. The American phenom shot to the top of the podium in the slalom competition, becoming the third-youngest American to win a World Cup race.
