1st Ever Sammy Carlson Invitational

Oakley’s Sports Marketing Ski Manager, Greg Strokes headed north from headquarters to catch up with Sammy Carlson and support his first ever contest. Carlson has come a long way since his early years as a professional skier. Now more focused then ever, Sammy has been working hard to keep his sponsors stoked with insane video parts, contest results, pushing the sport forward with new tricks and giving back with his ride for TACA next week.

The hometown kid put together quite the big air jump for him and his closest friends in the professional ski industry to session over this past week. The jump was a monster, but super smooth as butter stated the majority of the skiers that sessioned it over the week. Windell’s Ski & Snowboard Camp let Sammy set up the jump in its playing field on Timberline and the sessions went off.

Unfortunately due to an uncooperative mother nature the actual contest portion of the event was cancelled today. But the tricks that were thrown down by 15 of the top big air skiers were definitely a sign of things to come this season.

Look for a seriously sick edit to post here on Oakley.com/sports/ski in the next day or so, showcasing the latest in big air mastery.
