After a few days of scattered to mostly cloudy skies, the final day of filming for the remaining two shows was given early season bluebird and only a trace of clouds. Which would be the ideal setting for four of the most outspoken and funny Oakley snow athletes – Eero Ettala, Sammy Carlson, Tanner Hall and Simon Dumont.

Eero was on set for the earliest call time all week of 10am to talk about his upcoming “Snowboard Diaries” episode where he charges urban jibs in northern Finland. Ettala an outgoing and energetic ripper who has scored opening and closing segments for Mack Dawg cracked up host Pat Parnell on several topics. One of the funnier parts was when Eero explained the difference between American and European candy. Pat then had a proper bag of German gummie bears delivered to the set for Ettala, who explained to the audience why these gummies were better then American.

Sammy Carlson joined Eero and Pat on stage to chat about his ultra successful season with four videos and the 2008 JOSS Champions Crown. Carlson and Ettala have become good buddies from their time together in Oakley Safehouse over the past four plus years. These two guys are competitive from playing pool to deciding who would gets there own room this year at Winter X Games with a thumb wrestling game, Sammy and Eero make for great television – which will air
Wednesday, January 14th, 2009.

Next up on the stage was Tanner Hall, who brought his usual “A” game of hilarious and very enthusiastic antics. Probably one the most animated and driven athletes in skiing’s history, Hall talked about growing up in Montana to winning X Games gold seven times to his favorite year on snow while filming for “Believe”.

Part two of the show airing on Tuesday, January 13th starred two-time Winter X Games gold medalist Simon Dumont. Simon is also the current world record air holder with a 35-foot 900 out of a custom Quarterpipe at his home mountain of Sunday River. Dumont rapped about his signature series goggles coming out in Fall 09 as well as his Pro Rider Series technical outerwear.

The final day of filming ended with perfect blue skies and smiling faces on all involved. FUEL TV, VP of Production Scott Paridon stated, “This was truly special, we cannot wait to see this air next month.”
