Mother Nature didn’t cooperate at the third annual Dumont Cup, but that didn’t stop the event from going off. Under extremely gusty winds and frigid temperatures, the athletes bravely suited up for battle. And after a narrow podium miss at last year’s Dumont Cup, young Nick Goepper avenged his 2010 finish by taking the big “W” at Sunday River. Telluride-native Gus Kenworthy took second place, adding yet another podium to his burgeoning resume while Oakley’s own Jacob Wester took third with a first run score that stood up throughout the entire day.
